This college was established on August 16, 1989 by the then chief minister of the un-divided state of madhya Pradesh, shri Motilal Vora. The college has got an anti-ragging committee to control this undesirable trend , but the students themselves are so disciplined that the intervention of this body is not required. The general atmosphere is peaceful, congenial and academic.

IQAC Cell has been formed for overall development of the students and the college in general. The staff is devoted and committed to achieve the academic and developmental goals set up by the Government.

The college organizes career oriented programs, workshops and seminars for the overall growth of the students. The idea is to make them aware of the overall job scenario and prepare them for a successful launch into the post-academic life Placement of many students in good situations after passing out, into jobs or for pursuing higher education, bears testimony to this specific action on our part.

We are publishing our annual college magazine named 'MANASI' since last four year. The magazine includes articles from students and the faculty, and general information about the activities of the college .The alumni of our college are invited to participate in various functions which lead to knowledge-and - information sharing and better bonhomie amongst our former and present students.

Our college which is situated in the rural sector is taking long strides towards progress. Our approach is research-oriented and we strive for the overall development of the students. We envision that out institute will be the best PG- college in the area and play a dominant part in the development of the region.
