a “Nasha Mukti Awareness Program” in the nearby rural community with the objective of spreading awareness about the harmful effects of alcohol, tobacco and drug addiction. The program was organized under the guidance of the Department of Social Work to encourage people, especially youth, to adopt a healthy and addiction-free lifestyle.

During the awareness session, the students explained the physical, mental, social and economic impacts of substance abuse. They informed the villagers that addiction not only affects individual health but also creates problems such as domestic violence, financial instability, crime and family conflicts. Special emphasis was given to the harmful effects of smoking, alcohol consumption and drug abuse on youth and society.

The MSW students motivated community members to stay away from intoxicating substances and explained the importance of self-control, healthy habits and positive social relationships. Various awareness methods such as speeches, slogan writing, group discussions and interactive communication were used to make the program more effective and engaging.

The students also highlighted the role of family, school and society in preventing addiction and supporting individuals suffering from substance abuse problems. Information regarding counseling, rehabilitation and community support for addiction recovery was shared with the participants.

The villagers actively participated in the awareness program and appreciated the efforts of the MSW students. The program proved to be informative and socially beneficial as it encouraged people to understand the dangers of addiction and inspired them to promote a healthy, peaceful and addiction-free society.
