awareness program on water-borne diseases at Funda Village with the objective of educating rural people about safe drinking water, sanitation and disease prevention. The program was conducted in collaboration with villagers, school children and local community members under the guidance of the Department of Social Work.

During the awareness session, the MSW students explained the meaning and causes of water-borne diseases such as cholera, typhoid, diarrhea, jaundice and dysentery. They informed the villagers that contaminated water, poor sanitation and unhygienic practices are the major reasons behind the spread of these diseases, especially during the rainy season.

The students also demonstrated various preventive measures, including boiling drinking water, using covered water containers, washing hands before eating and after using toilets, maintaining cleanliness around water sources and avoiding stagnant water. Information regarding proper waste disposal and personal hygiene was also shared with the villagers to reduce the risk of infections.

Interactive activities, discussions and slogan-based awareness methods were used to make the program more effective and understandable for the community members. The villagers actively participated in the session and expressed their willingness to adopt healthy and hygienic practices in their daily lives.

The awareness program proved to be highly informative and beneficial for the rural community. It helped in spreading awareness regarding health, sanitation and prevention of water-borne diseases among the people of Funda village. The villagers appreciated the efforts of the MSW students for conducting a meaningful and socially useful health awareness campaign.
