The department of sociology came in to existence in 1990-91.Initially, the B.A. started and there after, 1997-98 the M.A. in PoliticalScience was started. At present stage the strength has reached to 350-400students (including B.A. and M.A.). Among all social sciences, sociology is oneof the most famous streams among students.
The departmentof Sociology offers two courses. One for under graduate course and another forpost graduate course.
